About Demi

Please meet Demi. She is a six week old, pittie mix puppy with a deformed right paw. Our rescue was contacted to take her. Due to her deformity, she was not able to latch on and nurse with her mommy. He right paw is detached and angled backwards. Her litter mates were pushing her away and it was not a good situation. Demi also has a large hernia on her belly. The hernia needs immediate surgery. We have already taken Demi to our vet. Based on the Xrays, it is unlikely the paw can be attached. Demi is not in pain and able to get around. We are addressing the hernia first and will keep you posted on her paw. Demi is three pounds of pure love. At six weeks old, she has attached herself to her foster mom. She has quickly learned that sleeping cuddled into a human arm is her favorite spot. We will keep you updated on Demi's progress. For today, she is safe and extremely loved.
