About Ares

Meet Ares! Ares is a 6 y/o lab pit mix that suffers from chronic ear infections. His family can no longer afford to care for him but love him dearly and have chosen to put him up for adoption. Ares is a great family dog. Absolutely adores children of all ages. Definitely has more love for the men in his life than the women. LOL He is great with cats. However, he does not like small dogs or any unfamiliar dogs. He does not do well with livestock or rodents. He does great on walks, although he can pull at times. He is easily corrected and listens very well. He knows basic tricks and is very food driven. He loves to chew on bones and gets playful when excited. Ares has a beautiful coat of fur that lightens in the summertime to an ashy brown. He will need forever care for his ears and forever ear drops daily for maintenance. He does well when applying medication to his ears. He is a free roam dog within the home and does not chew anything he's not supposed to. He can be trusted to not potty in the house for more than 10 hours. He is a cuddle bug but also a bed hog when he's in bed with you. He is kennel trained and will not leave the house when the door is left open. Ares still needs to be neutered. Adoption via contract: Fee is $300 (total): $150 adoption fee plus a $150 neuter and microchip fee (reimbursable upon proof of completion). *** Please, only apply if you can give Ares a fur-ever home.
