HE THOUGHT HE WAS HOME AND THEN HE WASN'T...NOW HE CRIES IN HIS KENNEL FOR THE ONLY FAMILY HE KNEW If you can help Ripley, please email fmvitagliano@comcast.net and type 'Rip' in the subject line Transport is available for out of state adopters. Rip thought he was home. He basically lived in a crate for the last 3 years. Never really got any attention or special toys but he didn't know he was suppose to. He thought this was what life was like. He didn't know he was in a foster home and had been forgotten there. He didn't understand that he really had no advocate to make sure he was getting vet care, or enough food or that no one was working to get him a forever home. A home where he would be loved and appreciated instead of just housed in a crate day and night. He spent years in this home where he was an after thought so much so that sometimes he wasn't fed or let out. But Rip took all this in stride. He knew no better and these were his people. He loved them none the less. He thought he was home. Until they could no longer keep him. Life had changed for them and he had to go. Now he's in a kennel where he sits and cries for the people he thought were his family. He cries because he's alone and scared and unsure why he's here now. Ripley is a good boy who just needs a person to love him and spend time with him. He is unsure of life because he never had anyone to show him how it's done. When you think of it, that's what we all need. If you're looking for a best friend, please consider giving Rip a chance. That's all he needs. Ripley is a 6 year old black German shepherd mix. He is neutered, has all his vaccinations and is heartworm negative. He is timid when he first meets people but loves being with you once he feels safe. He needs a quiet home where he is in a routine and will get exercise. Given the opportunity he will be a loyal best friend.
