About Peppero

Meet Peppero! Pepero is a 4-5 year old neutered male pittie found living on the streets but has adjusted incredibly well to life indoors. He's house trained, food motivated, and loves being close to his person, whether that's relaxing nearby or enjoying a car ride with his head out the window. Pepero can be a little shy at first and flinches at quick hand movements, which suggests he may have experienced rough handling in the past. He's very expressive and will let you know when he's ready for affection. Once he feels safe, he's incredibly sweet and affectionate. He isn't crate trained but does well in small enclosed spaces and has never been destructive or gotten into anything he shouldn't. He can pull on the leash, so some training will help, but he's eager to please and loves treats. Pepero has shown interest in other dogs and could do well with the right match and slow introductions. He's also been curious about cats and has cohabitated with one fine. He has a lot of love to give and would thrive in a calm, caring home with someone who can help him continue to build trust.
