VIDEO INCLUDED: Meet Maxwell (Max)'|Your Future Best Friend! Maxwell's journey began with heartbreak. Found tied to a pole at a bus station by Animal Control, his story could have taken a tragic turn. But despite his tough start, this 1-1/2-year-old Golden Retriever mix never lost his loving spirit. With his soulful eyes and heartwarming personality, he's ready to bring joy to the right home. Rescued from Lancaster Animal Care Center, Max quickly became a staff favorite, even serving as the 'helper dog.' He was on the euthanasia list, but we knew such a sweet and special soul deserved a second chance. Max is professionally trained. He is currently thriving at a board & train facility, where he gets weekly refresher courses to keep up with all he's learned and plays daily in a doggy pack group. He is incredibly smart, well-behaved, and eager to please. Walks beautifully on a leash. Knows all his basic commands. Takes treats gently and patiently. Plays with toys and balls. Affectionate and loving once he builds a bond. Great with other dogs when properly introduced'|he loves to play! Because Max thrives with structure and familiarity, he does well in a calm environment. He enjoys meeting new people but benefits from proper introductions to feel safe and comfortable. With his cool, calm, and laid-back personality (it must be the Golden in him!), Max is truly a special boy. Anyone would be lucky to have him as a companion and family member.
