About Melody

Melody is a sweet, shy dog who came to us from the Palmdale shelter along with her four puppies. She was initially rescued, pregnant, from the streets by a Good Samaritan and cared for until her puppies turned 6 weeks old. After being vaccinated and dewormed, Melody and her pups were transferred to a foster home in our organization. Melody is affectionate and playful once she warms up to people, though she can be barky at first with strangers. She thrives in a calm, stable environment and would do best in a home without constant comings and goings. Melody enjoys walks, toys, and cuddles and is good with other dogs and cats. In fact, she might benefit from having another playful canine companion. Melody is alert, energetic, and intrigued by birds and squirrels she sees along her hikes. She is a good walker and would do well with an active dog parent. We look forward to Melody moving on with her life to receive the attention and forever home she deserves.
