Belle Pepper was rescued as a kitten from a trailer park a few years ago. It took her a while to find her forever home since she's a black cat, and they are frequently adopted last. Sadly, that wasn't going to last. She was found last week wandering the streets. FCR picked her up, recognizing that this was a friendly cat, not a feral. Her microchip revealed her identity! We have been unable to contact her adopters, and there is no lost report for her at the shelter. We assume she was abandoned. Her original foster mom was heartbroken to see her dirty with a torn ear from being beaten up outside. After only a few days in our care, her fur is getting softer and the light is coming back into her eyes. She still enjoys being picked up and cuddled close. Give this girl the real forever home she deserves. Meet the available cats and kittens at the Petco in California MD on Saturdays 10-2 and Sundays 11-3 or at the Meow Dyer Cat Cafe in Leonardtown MD.
