My name is Oliver. I am about 68 lbs and 8 months old. I am not sure how much more I will gain but don't be surprised if I get to 80. Maybe? I don't SEEM that big because in all reality, I am a big mush. I think my ideal place would be in someone's lap (especially my foster mom and the kids) I am the quintessential gentle giant... no joke. I am good with all dogs, I am very neutral. However, I have a favorite thing, well two favorite things - puppies and kids. I just adore puppies and I am so gentle and playful with them. I would really be a steal for anyone with a puppy that wants a babysitter and an entertainer. Yes, for real! I also love kids and have been accustomed to a whole load of them 6+. No - I don't NEED them in my home but if you have them, do not worry about my behavior. I immediately feel comfortable with them (as I do pups and other dogs). I have definitely been around cats in an outdoor environment but inside, I don't have much experience. I bet I would just be curious. Per my breed I am mild mannered, medium energy and I seek out affection. A lot of it! If you want a dog that will hike miles with you everyday, I won't be it. But, a couple of miles to stroll around the neighborhood, some playtime in the yard, lounging in the sun? I'm in. I'm housebroken and crate trained. I am a breeze in my crate. I go right in and settle down when my humans have to leave and at night. Even while they are around, sometimes I chill out in there. I do not have much experience on the leash just yet. To practice my leash skills, a nice harness would be best but we can go slow with that skill. After I settle in and trust my surroundings, the walking part will come. A fenced in yard is required!
