About Benito

Our beloved Netherland dwarf rabbit needs a new spacious home with an educated owner who understands the special care this breed of rabbit requires to thrive! About Benito: He is a chinchilla gray dwarf with a big personality. 2.2 lbs as of now. He just turned 1 years old (March 2nd, 2024 is his birthday). He is at his full adult size and not neutered due to risks of death or complications that can come with using anesthetics on a DWARF rabbit. We are comfortable keeping him in tact and hope you can provide an accommodating home for him that prevents him from being aggressive and territorial with other rabbits. He is potty trained but may leave a few stray poops here and there outside of his litter box, depending on the location of his food source (usually hay is placed in hay bag above litter box). He is RHDV-vaccinated and visits an EXOTIC vet (very important). He will need his yearly vaccine and check-up again in June. He is very smart (knows some tricks) and playful (likes to chase/follow people sometimes). He free roams under supervision and within boundaries. INDOOR HOUSING ONLY! I also request that his owner(s) keep in contact with me once in a while to update me as I still see him as forever family. His current supplies will all be provided upon pickup: Playpen gates, barriers, litter box, hay feeder, box of hay, pellets, favorite treats, water and food bowls, toys, waterproof mats, brush, nail clippers, fur wipes, vinegar spray bottle (for cleaning litter box), hiding huts, tunnels, carrier, cage, cushion beds, blankets, snuffle mat, and containers for his supplies. More detailed info on Beni, his behaviors, and his routines will be provided to whoever is interested! Friendly reminder that rabbits thrive on the specific routine they are used to so it is important that info is relayed to his potential owner for a smooth transition and reduced stress.
