URGENT HELP NEEDED! Videos included. With the sudden passing of Kareen, the owner of a dog boarding facility in the high desert, the dogs are in desperate need of rehoming and food. Many of these dogs were dumped by owners and even rescues, but Kareen never gave up on them. She fought to find them loving homes. Now, they have no one but Jorge, her longtime employee, who is doing everything he can to care for them. Please help by donating food, funds, fostering, or adopting so these dogs don't go hungry or forgotten. One of the dogs is Balto, a Lab/Shepherd mix and around 3 years old. He didn't hesitate to give us hugs and kisses, even though he'd just met us. He's a big sweetheart who thinks he's a lap dog! He gets along great with other dogs and has an amazing temperament. But Balto's story is a sad one. His previous owner had mental health crisis and could not care for him anymore. A kind neighbor rescued Balto from the Apple Valley shelter, and he's in a facility, but he needs a loving home as soon as possible. He's such a wonderful dog!
