About Kona

German Shepherd
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

This is Kona! He is a 7 year old neutered German shepherd who is up to date on all his shots and vet checks, and has been taken the very best care of. He was adopted as a rescue three and a half years ago and has lived with his family in a home with a fenced in yard. He doesn't care for other pets and is dog reactive. He has some initial social anxiety, but is calmed by his people's reassurance and confidence. After being introduced, he loves people and just wants to feel safe and seen, leaning in and giving kisses once he knows he is loved. He is best in a home with adults or older children, and is crate trained and housebroken. He loves to explore his yard and enjoys company while he is outside and running around. He loves his people and enjoys snuggling on the couch with them and playing with his toys. His previous owner worked with him constantly and he loves to work for positive praise, yummy treats, and belly rubs. He is loyal beyond belief and is extremely smart and able to learn anything that his owner is committed to teaching. The sky is the limit when it comes to training this boy. Kona is a very special pup that needs a special family with lots of love and patience to help him feel safe and loved. He gives 100% of all that love back! Kona is in search of his new home due to an unfortunate split of his current owners. If you are looking for an awesome German Shepard with all the quirky qualities that come along with it, Kona is your dream boy! If you show him love, patience and kindness he will reward you with loyalty and companionship that you've never felt before. Thank you for opening your hearts and homes to the sweetest GSD you will ever meet. Please apply to adopt Kona at Rescueridge.com. If your application is a possible match, a volunteer will contact you.
