About Delta

Delta is a very sweet 1 year old girl who had a family at one time but they couldn't keep her and asked Long Road Home to find her a great home because that's what she deserves. She's very beautiful and fully grown at 35 pounds which is such a great compact size. We think she's an Australian Cattle Dog mix with her wavy coat and may have a bit of terrier too which would account for her pointed ears. Regardless of her breed, she's a very sweet girl and friendly with adults and children and loves to play with other dogs. She's living with a great Foster Mom now who says 'Miss Delta is a very sweet and smart little girl. She loves to play and loves to have her belly rubbed. She gives the best kisses and is happy all the time. She everyone's buddy too - kids, dogs and cats too....she loves everyone! She loves playing with her foster siblings and then taking snoozes on her giant teddy bear (see her pics). She loves going for car rides, playing with the hose and just laying in the sun. My neighbor jokes that if you squint your eyes when she's lounging in the yard, her beautiful coat makes her look like a baby calf! :)' Delta has a medium energy level and is not a 'herder' like some Australian Cattle Dogs can be. She'll make a great family dog and will be happy as a solo pup or with a doggie sibling. She's also totally healthy and crate trained which makes her easy to live with!
