About Finn

Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Portland, OR Meet Finn! He is an 5 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 45 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Finn is reactive to strangers and dogs on walks, so he will need continued training. He hasn't been tested around children. No cats or children, due to his reactivity! The owner is requiring a meet and greet for any interested people who already have a dog. He has exhibited resource guarding in the past with cats, so that will have to be considered if he is adopted into a home with another dog. Finn loves to play fetch! He is very smart and enjoys puzzles and snuffle mats! He is sensitive to loud noises, such as fireworks or children screaming, so he will also need a patient adopter who can provide the training he needs. Finn is given trazodone and clomicalm for behavior modification. The owner is surrendering him because he chases and growls/snarls at their cat. If you think you can provide a great home for Finn, please contact the person listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Finn.
