About Elke

Elke is an adorable German Shepherd mix who is 1-2 years old. She was living with elderly owners who could no longer take care of her so she's praying for a fun and happy family who will love her forever. She's a bit underweight at 40 pounds so she's getting lots of healthy meals and treats so she can add another 8-10 pounds. She's a charming and happy-go-lucky girl with a medium energy level which makes her easy to live with. She'll be a perfect addition to a family who love the Shepherd breeds and prefer a medium sized girl. Elke is a very smart and sweet and loves everyone she meets and also enjoys playing with other dogs. She also is good with cats and was living with a dog and 2 cats in her past home. She's great on car rides and walks well on a leash. She's totally healthy and up to date on all her vaccinations. She has so many great things going for her...all she needs is a loving adopter who can give her a happy home! We think she'd love a fully fenced in yard too so she can romp and play.
