About Shyla

Anatolian Shepherd
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Rescued from a High Kill Shelter, Shyla needs a home where she can thrive. She was found as a stray along a busy highway, and was so shutdown at the shelter. Foster was her only option. We have had her just one week. She is so sweet and responds to her new name, basic commands and is showing her sweet and playful side, running, playing and even lift her tail with confidence. She is gentle, loves chin and chest rubs and brushing (cue happy leg kicks and moans) Good with people she knows, retreats at first to new people. Barks only when in protecting mode. Because of her Guardian nature and her being a puppy, she sleeps alot with a hour or so burst of enegry, throughout the day and night. She loves being outside, comes inside for short intervals. This breed is know to tolerate our weather with proper Shelter very well. She needs a big yard or working farm for training, city life is not ideal for her. Experienced owner or someone who has the time and patience to train her, she is still young and learning. She has so much potential, but needs the right environement to truly thrive. If you think you could be the person she's been waiting for, please let us know. More pictures and information are available.
