We rescued Sapphire in 2016. She was so tiny, the rescue thought she was a boy. She was fixed and chipped and up to date on vaccinations. She is very timid. She hides from new people, doorbell ringing, rainstorms, and noisy kids. She has NEVER attacked anyone. She is very passive and chill. She doesn't defend herself physically, just hisses and makes a LOT of noise. She is a huge cuddle bug, if she picks you as her person. She knows her name. She will chase a laser pointer but prefers a feather or ribbon on a wand. She occasionally plays fetch with a hair tie if you shoot it across the room. She has had a BUNCH of health issues (records on hand). Most recently, in April 2024, she had dental surgery to remove 17 teeth that were causing a mouth infection that was causing repeated UTI's (starting back in 2023). In November 2024, she started pooping outside the litterbox. We (and the vet) have not been able to figure out why. She is on a rx but it doesn't seem to be helping anymore. More details upon request. We have small children and it's a health concern with her going on the floor. We are at our last resort with this situation.
