About Salem

NEEDS A NO DOG/CAT HOME IMMEDIATELY! [Case opened on 3/19/25]. NORTON, OHIO. (ALMOST) 5 Y/O MALE GSD (DOB:5/25/20). His name is ' SALEM'. Background: has been with the same Shepherd Parent since 12 weeks old. UTD on shots WITH record. NOT Fixed. Good with kids. NOT Good with dogs. NOT Good with cats. House trained. Crate trained. No known medical issues. HIGH ENERGY. HIGH PREY DRIVE . Currently on PEDIGREE food. Weighs 90 lbs. NOT Good with car rides (whines). Loves: stuffed animals - going on walks - playing in water - being around his people.- playing - getting lovings and attention. Personality: very loving and hyper. Salem is a great boy. He is afraid and nervous around other dogs and he will snap if they get too close and do not back off of him. He is very treat motivated. He is OK on a leash. He has OK Recall but needs work. He is intelligent and knows Basic Commands. The Current Shepherd Parent needs to re home Salem because she is never home so Salem is living pretty much most of his life in his crate and that is not a good quality of life. He deserves a much better life. Salem will thrive best in a home with NO dogs and NO cats, and someone who is home a lot to be able to spend time with him since he has gone through so much with being kept in a crate. He will make a great companion for the right person. The Current Shepherd Parent has not spent much time with Salem because she is never home so he definitely needs to be adopted ASAP into an amazing loving home. Comes with: collar, leash.
