Athena is an adorable one-year-old dog, weighing in at 26 pounds, and she truly embodies the spirit of a loving companion. With her warm personality, she has an infectious enthusiasm for meeting new people and has yet to meet a stranger she doesn't want to befriend. Upon arriving at the shelter, she was accompanied by another dog, with whom she enjoys playful antics, highlighting her sociable nature. Despite her time in the shelter, she hasn't had many chances to expand her circle of friends beyond this companion. Athena is not just playful; she is also a bright and spirited girl who thrives on learning. She quickly grasped our daily routine, showcasing her intelligence and adaptability. Although she's still perfecting some basic commands and working on her leash walking skills, her eagerness to learn makes her a joy to train. Always ready to shower you with affection, Athena's kisses and playful demeanor can brighten anyone's day. Please note that we are not a no-kill shelter, and we must make tough decisions regarding animals who are ill or aggressive. **Adoption Fees:** - $165 for dogs under 5 years old - $100 for dogs over 5 years old - $200 for cell dogs Your adoption fee covers vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella), microchipping, heartworm and Lyme testing, rabies vaccination, spay/neuter, and a dog license. All dogs must be spayed or neutered before leaving the shelter; if this hasn't been done, we'll schedule an appointment for you. **Payment:** We accept cash only-no checks, debit, or credit cards please.
