About Kamira

[Case opened on 3/14/25]. KOKOMO, IN (will drive up to 5 hrs) . 4 Y/O FEMALE GSD (DOB:2/15/21). Her name is ' KAMIRA'. Background: Has been with the same Shepherd Parent since 9 months old. UTD on shots WITH record. Fixed. NOT Good with kids. NOT Good with dogs and very Reactive. NOT Good with cats. House trained. Crate trained. ENVIRONMENTAL ALLERGIES (Read below). ABUSE HISTORY! Was rescued from abusive neighbor who neglected and abused Kamira. She was very malnourished with signs of physical abuse . HIGH ENERGY. HIGH PREY DRIVE. Anxiety. Currently on 'Simply Nourish Limited Ingredients Salmon and Sweet Potato' or 'Lamb and Pea' food. Weighs 70 lbs. Good with car rides once settled. Loves: crinkle toys - chips - butt scratches - to be chased and chase back - pup cups / doggy ice cream - playing Tug of War - playing fetch - chilling on the couch with her person - watching TV - going for walks - hiking - playing in water. Personality: extremely sweet once she is comfortable with you. Kamira will be an amazing companion for the right person. She is extremely sweet once she is comfortable with you. She is extremely loving. Very intelligent and knows Basic Commands. She also went through Training Classes at PetSmart. She is good on a leash. She can be a big couch potato and just loves to chill and relax. Kamira seemed okay with dogs at first, but then a switch flipped and she attacked the other family dog. The Current Shepherd Parent needs to re home Kamira because they have tried for months to get Kamira to be okay with her Partner's cats but she is still too aggressive and tries to attack them whenever she can. Kamira needs a NO kid, NO dog and NO cat home so that she can relax and thrive. They tried her on Apoquel for her allergies but they did not see much improvement so they have her on an eye ointment and it DOES help. Kamira needs to be with someone who can give her the care that she needs for her allergies so that she can have some peace and comfort, and continue her on the eye ointment and possibly try the Apoquel again.
