About Dorian

Dorian is 9 months old and was the firstborn of a litter of 7 puppies born to our two family dogs, Wren (Border Collie) and Leo (Great Pyrenees and a little Australian Shepherd - which you can see Dorian got ALL of lol!) last June. He KNOWS he was the firstborn. We kept 3 of the litter (all boys) and that turned out to be not the wisest decision - the sibling rivalry is intense and we are now rehoming 2 of them for everyone's sanity. Dorian is the most dominant of the litter. He loves to play-fight, he loves to fight-fight if his brothers annoy him or take his toy, and he does have resource guarding (mostly with treats and people-food). He gets along well with our other older dogs. It might be best for him to be the only dog in a household, or at least not to be with other dogs who are also very dominant. He is an absolute love with people - he will wake you up in the morning with kisses, sit and cuddle with you, and loves to give 'the Pyr paw' to express how much he adores you and wants you to keep petting him. He is also very active - it's best if you have a fenced yard or at least are able to go on frequent walks. A BC/GP mix is the ultimate outdoor working dog - being cooped up inside will not end well. He is mostly housebroken but does still have accidents, especially at night. We do not require a fee but ask that you instead donate to Rescue Me. If you are not in our immediate area, we are happy to meet up to an hour or so away for a family that will be a good fit. We will miss him so much but hope he finds his furever family!
