About Rylo

Adoption Fee: 20$
Lab / Chow Chow
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Rylo's was adopted from the Wake County Animal Shelter by his previous owner. She can no longer care for him. We are currently Fostering, but due to some recent health issues, can no longer do so. Here is some additional information about him: - UTD on Shots: Yes (Rabbies due 8/25; Distemper-Parvo due 9/25; Leptospirosis due 10/25); on Heartworm prevention & Flea/Tick prevention - Good with: Other dogs; treat motivation; lots of affection Rylo is timid but very sweet! Likes cheese. He is approximately 55lbs & knows his basic commands but will need reinforcement. (Commands: come, sit, stay, wait, paw, other paw, down, release.) Loose leash training and heel command still in progress. He does get crated when no one is home & he will whine. He is a chewer, so chew toys are a must. He is best in a home with another dog or as a sole pet. He has been tested with cats. He has done well with our senior cat but the kitten excites him. He enjoys long walks and the dog park. Pros: - Sweet / Affectionate - Treat motivated - Already partially trained - House trained - Loves dog parks and long walks - Friendly with other dogs - Great with Teens and Adults; needs more socialization Cons: - He's a puller (leash) - Chewer (needs toys & bullies) - Not fully crate trained, though will go in if needed - Can be overly excited around cats and other small animals - Not tested with young kids ((5) - Separation anxiety Please reach out with any questions. Thank you.
