About Andy

We are excited to introduce you to Andy! Andy is a 10 lbs, 12-year-old, Chihuahua mix that comes from a home of lifelong neglect. Since joining MHCR in January, Andy has had A LOT of medical makeovers. He got a dental with a ton of extractions, a much needed nail trim, a cryptorchid neuter (his testicles didn't descend) AND he had a benign mass removed from his side. He's outwardly a whole new man. One would think he feels like a new man, too. But, alas, he is still PISSED off. He is a grouchy mofo that likes to live on his terms. He cohabitates with other dogs and children but he voices his displeasure with them regularly. He'd likely do ok in a home with calm, older dogs - the more dead the better, and no kids. He's house trained and free roam trustworthy, though, which has to count for something, especially amongst small, male, dog lovers. Luckily, Andy is older, so rescuing him (and it is indeed a rescue) will not be a decision you'll regret for another 10 years - we're guessing 5 tops, depending on your karma. Why are we so excited to introduce him, you ask? Let's just say his welcome is wearing thin.
