When he's scared, he puts up a tough front, growling and baring his teeth. But underneath that fear is a heart longing for safety and kindness. There's hope in his eyes-especially when treats are involved. Even through his nervousness, he gently takes treats from a trusted hand, sometimes even offering a soft lick in return. He may not be ready for cuddles just yet, but with time, patience, and lots of treats, Waffles has the potential to open up and show the loving dog he truly is. He needs a home with someone who understands that trust isn't built overnight. He needs a patient, experienced person willing to give him the space and reassurance he craves.
