About Waffles

This post is going out with a prayer - that somewhere out there, Waffles' angel is reading this right now. Waffles needs a foster or adopter as soon as possible. Meet Waffles: A Gentle Soul Searching for Safety and Love Waffles has been through more than any dog should. He's shy, and it takes time for him to feel safe around new people - but if you look closely, there's hope in his eyes. He wants to trust. He wants to love and be loved. Even when he's nervous, he'll gently take a treat from your hand, sometimes even offering the softest little lick as a thank-you. It's in those small moments that you see who Waffles really is - a sweet, tender spirit just waiting for someone to believe in him. Waffles needs a calm, experienced person who understands that trust is earned, not given overnight. Someone with patience. Someone who sees past the fear and into the heart of a dog who just wants to feel safe. With time, love, and plenty of treats, Waffles will bloom. He'll learn the world isn't such a scary place - not when he has someone by his side. We were blessed to find him a temporary foster, and the moment he left the shelter, he became a completely different dog. It was like watching his spirit come back to life - he gave kisses, snuggled in, and finally felt safe enough to show his sweet, loving heart. But now, Waffles is at risk of losing that little bit of peace he just found. His current foster can no longer keep him because their dog isn't getting along with Waffles. And even though Waffles is incredibly dog-friendly and gentle, we have no choice but to place him in boarding. It breaks my heart - because we saw what happened to him in the shelter. He shut down completely. It was painful to watch a soul like his fade into fear. Waffles doesn't belong in a kennel. He belongs in a home. A quiet, kind, patient home where he can continue to heal and trust. If you can open your heart and home to foster Waffles, all expenses will be covered by the rescue - including any medical care he may need. Let's give Waffles the second chance he's just beginning to believe he deserves. We were able to get him a temp foster and once he was out of the shelter he was a totally different dog giving kisses and kissing his foster . The foster can no longer keep Waffles because his dog is going after Waffles . Waffles is dog friendly and so so sweet , he is being put into boarding and I hate that because at the shelter he closed down and it was so painful to watch .If you foster all expenses will be paid by the rescue for his medical should he need .
