OWNER UNFORTUNATELY CANNOT KEEP DUE TO LOSING HOME AND NEEDS PLACEMENT ASAP (please no negative comments, owner is at least asking for help to rehome) Please help us find a loving, responsible home for Sugar who has lived with her owner since a young puppy. The owner is losing her home, and now has nowhere for her or the other chow and chow mixes in the home to go. Sugar is now approximately 4 years old, is now spayed and weighs 40 lbs according to her owner who also told us 'She is friendly with other dogs, she does well with older children but not with younger children, she chases cats but has never harmed one. She doesn't really like younger children. She is potty trained and has a dog door to go in and out as she pleases she spends most of her day time outdoors and night time indoors '. Prior to her being spayed, the owner let us know she got out, ended up having an unplanned litter, and ' nipped at a stranger that was near her fresh litter of puppies but didn't break the skin and haven't had any issues before or after the litter of puppies were re-homed.' We have separate posts up for the other chows who may be adopted separately. Chow or dog experience is preferred. If you have another dog or pet, a meet and greet is strongly advised. Sorry, we do not do transport to private homes unless a rescue is involved due to risks of a home or dog not working out for any reason. All adopters will be asked for a home check (which may be virtual), an application, a vet reference and an adoption contract.
