Meet Sweet Pea - A Resilient Senior with So Much Love to Give! Sweet Pea's journey has been anything but easy, but this goofy, affectionate gentleman is ready to find his perfect forever home! He was found on the streets of South LA and brought to the shelter by a kind Samaritan. Unfortunately, while there, he developed a severe case of pneumonia and needed urgent help. After his freedom walk, he was taken to CARES, where he spent a week in an oxygen chamber fighting to recover. This strong boy pulled through and is now on the road to a brighter future! He's a happy, loving senior who absolutely adores human companionship. He's much more of a 'people dog' than a 'dog's dog,' so he would thrive in a home where he's the only pet, surrounded by adults who can give him all the love and attention he craves. He enjoys leisurely walks, belly rubs, and, of course, treats! Sweet Pea is looking for a calm, loving home where he can finally relax and enjoy his golden years.
