About Kaida

Kaida is a very sweet Akita female, her birthday is coming up on March 19th and she is about to be 2. She is at the very small range in size for an akita female. She is not fixed, but needs to be spayed asap by her new family. She is purebred and comes from champion bloodlines on Dam side. She has a goofy personality and is very vocal and speaks a lot. If you want more pictures of her feel free to ask! We love her to death but have no choice but to rehome her. We bought back her litter mate about a year ago after they grew up apart for about 8 months. He is a very sweet male and they were fine together for some time, but they began getting into fights that have worsened over the past 2-3 months to the point where rehoming is the only option. Kaida is an anxious girl when it comes to strangers or things like the vet, and she barks a lot at them, but the vet described her as 'all bark and no bite'. She is not aggressive toward humans, she's just nervous. We would love to keep her, but the fights between her and our other dog will not allow us to, as both dogs have injured each other (not serious injuries, but we don't want it to get to that point) and my family and I as owners have gotten caught in the crossfire before. We want Kaida to go to a loving family without other dogs who have the time to socialize her, the patience for stubbornness of the breed (which most on a site like this are well aware of), and the resources to get her training if necessary to help her become accustomed to other dogs. Currently, both dogs are still living together but are separated all the time which is difficult to do. We ask for an adoption fee because we want to make sure that her new family is willing to put in effort for her and has the resources to take care of her.
