About PETE

***NEEDS FOREVER HOME*** SPECIAL NEEDS - DEAF Currently in Boise Meet PETE ! He is a seasoned neutered male yellow labrador retriever (former hunting dog) who found himself without a family. We first thought that he had difficulty hearing, but we now believe that he may be deaf. PETE is slow to sit, so maybe he has some sore hips. He is friendly with strangers and really just a happy-go-lucky pup. PETE is always excited to go for a walk. He walks a good pace for a while (10 minutes) and then eases up. He seems friendly with other dogs (see video) and didn't care when he met the resident rabbit in the lobby (see photo). PETE seems like a good companion dog for an older couple who is looking for a reason to walk a bit each day. No children please PETE's adoption will include current vaccines and neuter surgery.
