About Matcha

Matcha entered the shelter on 2/13/25 as a found stray dog in #LongBeach, arriving severely emaciated & malnourished barely tipping the scale around 30 pounds. Based on her otherwise good health and ravenous appetite it seems unnecessary neglect is the likely cause to how alarmingly thin she is, when furry dogs like huskies come in and can still see protruding bones & rib cages through the fur it's not good. Matcha is currently under observation with the shelters medical team and on a feeding plan; however, properly managing and maintaining a weight increase plan at the shelter is extremely difficult due to the amount of stress and other factors dogs face at shelters which make it difficult for them to maintain healthy weights under normal conditions. Matcha would be very appreciative to find rescue soon to get her back to good health in a timely manner. HI!
