About Gumdrop

Gumdrop is an approximately 1-2 year old female #RedSiberianHusky that was picked up by Animal Control Officers on 2/6/25 after reports of a dog struck by a vehicle laying in a residents driveway with what appeared to be a bone sticking out While (thankfully) Gumdrop managed to walk away from the accident without any broken bones, she did sadly receive some severe #RoadRash... the worst of which was a large open wound on her front left limb which had exposed tissue While requests from the shelter for help during Gumdrop's recovery through foster or rescue went unanswered, her wound has heeled enough to allow her bandages to be removed and leave the isolation/recovery area she has been sequestered in for an entire month so she can be adopted :) BUT all that time for a young dog to have restricted exercise can take it's toll, especially an active breed like a husky! Dogs like Gumdrop struggle dealing with long time confinement in a kennel & similar cases sadly did not find an opportunity to make it out due to behavior decline. So now that Gumdrop is free from injuries & can walk on all four's, let's make sure it's used for taking a #FreedomWalk out the front door! HI!
