About Angus

Adoption Fee: $225
Corgi / Lab
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Meet Angus This young pup is a great dog. We rescued Angus from a shelter euthanizing for space. He's done nothing wrong in life, except be born and unwanted. But Angus is meant for a greater purpose, to fill someone's life (or a family) with joy and love. Angus is a fun-loving pup who wants to be someone's best companion. He is about 1.5 years old. Angus is a low-rider. He looks like a Welsh Corgi mixed with labrador. He has the sunny, friendly spirit of a lab and the friendly affection of the Corgi packed in a perfectly small body. How can it get better? Angus is 30 lbs. of best dog ever! Angus can be a little shy at first, but once he feels safe, he's a happy, bubbly, out-going pup with a gentle demeanor. When he feels a connection, he can be a little exuberant and some gentle correction will be helpful so he doesn't have to try too hard. Angus, like everyone, just wants to know he matters to the people he loves. Angus loves people and dogs. We'll test him with cats. Angus enjoys running in our fenced yard and saying hello to his doggie friends. He travels well in a car and likes to be out and about. He'll be a wonderful companion pup. If looking for a great dog to welcome to your heart and home, Angus has it all. Get your application in for Angus at www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org. Please email our shelter (smithgallhumanesociety@windstream.net) or call our shelter at 706-865-4135 and leave a message to make sure we received your application. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out-of-state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship, nor do we transport them to their new homes. Adoption policies and application procedures are detailed at the shelter website: http://charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/ under tab All Adoptable Animals. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are either owner relinquished rescued from area Animal Controls or high kill shelters. The facility usually operates at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.
