About Ranger

Ranger is a very sweet and curious boy. He loves pets and is learning a few commands. He came to Washington from a rescue in Alabama. He has a very good temperament and is very friendly, but he struggles with anxiety around car sounds and loud noises. We have him in an apartment but do not feel as though it is a good fit for him. We would love to find someone with a house in a suburban area so he can go outside and sniff whenever he wants (which he loves to do). He seems to do well around children, though we have not had prolonged exposure around them. He has displayed mild food guarding behavior, so he would likely need to be fed separately from other dogs if they are around. He does not like to be barked at but does not show aggression towards other dogs.
