Olaf is a Bernese Mountain dog, has been living with us as a family dog for the past 5 years since he was a puppy fully housebroken and never chewing on anything. Olaf lived outdoors for a year and half with nearly 50 acres that he roamed daily and always stayed in the bounds of the property and close to the house in the evenings. He has struggled with our recent transition to life in a neighborhood. This has led to an increase in anxiety in going outside and has recently turned into a full-fledged anxiety about everything he does, and we do. We are assuming that this is the reason today he was nervous about going outside and bit me. He latched on to my arm and held it and locked eyes before letting go and putting himself in his kennel. In light of this incident, we don't feel that we can have a fair living situation for him with our kids in the house. He loves attention and is a good boy, just anxious and not loving neighborhood life. He is chipped and neutered.
