Meet Angus! This handsome guy is such a good boy! Angus doesn't know a stranger, likes kids, likes cats, gets along well with other dogs, and is genuinely a joy to be around. Smart but gentle, Angus knows basic commands like sit, stay, shake, down. He does like to sneak in a hug sometimes and jumps up, softly setting his paws on you. He is always gentle when doing so, but he is a big boy! He does well on leash but does pull a bit when excited (although he also listens well when you correct him). Angus loves everyone he meets and is truly a special boy. He has plenty of love to give and would make a wonderful family pet. He also enjoys car rides! Angus needs room to exercise and mental stimulation to be his best self. He has been accused of killing chickens prior to being rescued, however, now that he has a full belly every day, he does not show too much interest. He walks by his foster's chicken coop and with a simple 'no,' he quickly loses interest. We suspect he would probably only resort to killing chickens if left unattended with access to them. He looks to be part Lab (and Newfoundland) so it is not really a surprise that birds can bring out his prey drive! He is estimated to be about 3 years old. For such a wonderful, well-behaved boy, it is hard to fathom what happened for him to become a stray wandering the countryside. This guy deserves a family of his own to grow old with! Adoption via contract: Fee is $300 (total): $150 adoption fee plus a $150 neuter (reimbursable upon proof of completion). *** Adoption as fully vetted pet: Fee is $250 total. *** Vaccinations are currently up to date.
