About Stella

Meet Stella - A Resilient, Sweet, and Loyal Companion! Stella has been through a lot, but she hasn't let it dim her gentle spirit. Found in December 2023 after what appeared to be a car accident, she came into our care with a limp. Later, she endured a brutal attack from another dog, requiring surgery on the same leg. Despite everything, Stella is a survivor! She still has a limp, but it doesn't slow her down-she runs, plays, and keeps up with her furry friends with no problem. Currently thriving in her foster home, Stella gets along wonderfully with other dogs and takes cues from them-if they play, she plays; if they relax, she does too. She is housebroken and has never had an accident. Stella prefers an elevated dog bed to prop up her leg when she rests, but she doesn't need anything fancy. She is quiet, well-behaved, and quick to learn her surroundings. Stella enjoys car rides, though she will need a little help getting in. She walks well on a leash (or even off-leash in safe areas), but because of her past injuries, we prefer a home with a fenced yard if located near a road. She loves to eat, so she will need portioned meals rather than free feeding. She is timid when meeting new people, so she will need a patient adopter who can give her time to adjust. Because of her shyness, she would be best suited for a home with older children. She has never shown aggression-only kindness and sweetness.
