About Stevie

Stevie is a 5-year-old, 10lbs Dachshund. Stevie was involved in a life-threatening accident that required major rehabilitation and surgery but has made such fantastic progress from being nearly paralyzed to able to run (and jump!). He has shown his foster mom how loving and sweet of a dog he is. Stevie loves being near his person and will dance around and twirls and gets so excited when his foster mom comes back home! He is crate trained, and even with his physical state his accidents inside are very minimal. When he first came to us, he was so incredibly fearful and skittish and has really blossomed but may still take some time to warm up. Stevie would do best in a home with someone that is home often and would even really love another small dog in the home to hang out with. Because of his injury, he will need a home that minimizes his risk of getting hurt again. Stevie has been truly an inspirational story and would love to find his forever home.
