Color: Black and tan Age: 3 Gender: Male Size: 11 pounds House-trained: Yes Crate trained: No Good with Kids: Reportedly lived with kids in previous home Good with Dogs: Yes Good with Cats: Reportedly lived with a cat in the previous home Concerns: Bruno can resource guard with toys and food with the other dogs BIOGRAPHY Bruno was an owner surrender from a shelter in Baltimore where he was incredibly fearful and defensive. Once in his foster home, Bruno was given a few days to decompress. He was timid during this time but once he became comfortable he has proven to be an incredibly smart, sweet, cuddly, active and athletic little dog (Bruno would probably excel at agility). Bruno LOVES to be outside in the yard and loves to go on walks. He gets very excited to see his harness and leash and is extremely cooperative getting in and out of his sweaters, jackets and harness. Bruno has been sent to air jail two times for being leash-reactive when approached by strange dogs on his walks. Bruno is VERY food motivated and should be very easy to train. We feel Bruno would thrive in a home with another small or medium-sized dog or a gentle large dog, as he absolutely loves his foster brothers and will go out of his way to follow them around and sit beside them. Although reportedly he has lived with children, we would recommend older children who will understand that Bruno can be wary of loud sounds and might become overwhelmed by small children trying to grab him or take his food or toys. Bruno has not had one potty accident in the house in his foster home, and he loves to curl up in the big bed at night, so he must be allowed 'big bed' privileges! Overall, Bruno is a great little dog and very smart; he would love a home where he can get lots of walks and adventures and whose owner will keep him engaged. Bruno is current on vaccinations, microchipped and heartworm negative. He is currently fostering in Reisterstown, MD and his adoption fee is $400.00.
