Paolo is a loyal, loving, and well-trained, two-year-old, 47-pound, male, black and white Schnauzer/Hound-mix looking for a loving guardian. He is perfectly housebroken, and knows the commands sit, down, paw, other paw, and walks beautifully on leash with his head harness. Paolo loves training especially when treats are involved. Paolo doesn't go on furniture, and sleeps on a dog bed in his human's bedroom. This lovable boy loves food puzzles which entertain him and slow his down when eating. Paolo loves people and does really well with children, and regularly plays with kids as young as five years old. He's a nervous fellow who needs a moment to warm up to new people. Treats certainly help. He gets along with individual dogs upon proper introduction, but is typically nervous at first. Paolo was cat-tested and was pretty excited. More excited than the cat perhaps. He'd probably be happiest as the only pet in the home. Sadly Paolo lost his home due to his human's worsening allergies. Paolo is very healthy, neutered, up-to-date on rabies, distemper and Bordetella vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested and on monthly preventative. His adoption fee of $200 benefits the rescued pets of Friends of Petraits Rescue. If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Paolo, please fill in an adoption application at https://friendsofpetraits.com/dog-adoption-application/ and follow up by contacting friendsofpetraits@gmail.com to make an appointment to meet him. He is currently being fostered in Chicago's North Park neighborhood.
