Ember's past is a mystery, but we believe she was a street puppy before coming into rescue. At just 8 months old and 7 pounds, this brown sable beauty is still learning that people can be trusted. She is sweet but timid, and when she feels unsure, her instinct is to run. Because of this, she needs slow introductions and a home that will allow her to build confidence at her own pace. Her foster has been working hard to show her that life inside a home is safe. She is making progress, but she still gets nervous when picked up and may nip if startled. Patience and consistency will be key to helping her continue to grow. Ember does well with other dogs and cats but prefers smaller dogs over large ones. She is currently living with big dogs in her foster home and coexists with them, though they do make her nervous. She would do best in a home with older children who can respect her space. This girl is still a work in progress, but with time, patience, and love, she will continue to blossom. If you are looking for a rewarding challenge and have a secure home where she can feel safe, Ember could be the perfect fit. She is fully vetted, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and on heartworm prevention. She is currently being fostered in COLLEGE STATION, TX, and her adoption fee is $650.
