About Poppy

This gorgeous lady is Poppy, a sniffy and excited adventure dog. She looks like a lab, but per DNA she's half GSP and half Australian cattle dog. She is 18 months old and weighs 45 lbs. Poppy is a great learner and listener who already knows sit, stay, wait, come, down, shake, roll over, and go find it. Crate trained, vaccinated, spayed, and house broken. Outside, she comes alive. She's great on a leash and was born to hike and sniff. She's friendly with dogs and loves running around with them at park. Inside, she's generally very calm, lounging and napping for hours on end in the most adorable positions. Very rarely does chew anything she's not supposed to but give her a box of her own and she will rip it to pieces. When playing tug or getting belly rubs, she can still do those little puppy nibbles at your hand. Gentle and sweet, but not everyone appreciates this kind of love. Because of this, and he occasional reactivity to erratic movement, she needs more training to be polite around small children. Sometimes she takes a minute to warm up to strangers, but to her people, she's the most loyal buddy by your side. It's the cutest surprise in the world to hear her suddenly join in howling with the firetruck sirens around the neighborhood. Currently located in Burbank, CA and ready to meet adopters.
