Meet Red - A Loving Redbone Coonhound in Need of a Forever Home Red is a 5-year-old Redbone Coonhound who has been part of our family since the very beginning. He is sweet, affectionate, and absolutely loves to be loved on. If you're looking for a loyal companion who just wants hugs, belly rubs, and quality time, Red is your guy! Unfortunately, due to our work as truck drivers, Red was being cared for temporarily, but the situation became unsafe when the other dogs in the home attacked him. (this was a witnessed attack) He was not the aggressor-the other dogs had a history of aggression. This was a heartbreaking situation, and while we never wanted to part with him, we've made the tough family decision to find him a safe, loving, forever home. He does currently need to take medications for his gashes that are stitched. He received veterinary care for his wounds. Red would thrive in a home where he gets plenty of love, attention, and affection. His caretaker believes the other dogs became jealous because of how much he enjoys being close to people. He deserves a home where he can feel safe and adored. Neutered & healthy Loves people & cuddles Sweet, calm, and well-mannered Would do best as the only pet or with non-aggressive dogs We want to ensure he goes to the right home where he will be cherished.
