About Belle

Belle is one of those dogs that just breaks your heart when you try to guess what she may have gone thru before being rescued with her babies. She comes to us from a rural area in Texas, has been thru some trauma in her life, with one eye cloudy and a large scar on her side. We think she deserves just the best loving family now. Belle is estimated to be a 2-3 year old chihuahua mix, about 10 pounds and so loving. She will be best in a quiet home, with another calm dog, or even by herself. Rescued from a kill shelter, she's learning to live indoors in a home where she's safe, well fed and cared for. She's a smart girl, mostly housebroken with only an occasional mistake. Her happy place is settled on the couch next to someone who will give her scratches and tummy rubs. She's fine with other calm dogs, learning not to be afraid of cats and enjoys attention from guests. PLEASE NOTE- AN APPLICATION FROM THE WEBSITE ALMOSTHOMEDOGS.ORG IS REQUIRED prior to any meet and greet. Calling, emailing and using the 'contact us' link is not useful and will delay your consideration in the adoption of the dog. Petfinder inquires are not sent to us. The adoption fee is $450, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including age appropriate vaccinations, worming, flea/tick preventative and spay/neuter. All of our dogs will be microchipped.
