About Pierre

Available for adoption to adopters living in Orange County ONLY. Sweet Pierre is a 2 year old, 17lbs Poodle/Lhasa Apso mix. He is neutered and up to date on his vaccines. This poor guy hasn't had the best start to his life. He ended up at the Riverside Shelter wearing his collar and leash from his previous home, and his people never came to get him. He was then adopted and returned just a few short days later because the other pets in the home didn't like him. We are so shocked two homes gave up on him because he's AMAZING! Pierre is a total lovebug with a little bit of an underbite. He's in the process of learning crate training and basic commands in his foster home. He does seem to be potty trained, but might need a refresher course once he gets into a new home. He needs some guidance learning boundaries, as his foster is seeing that this quirky little guy likes to explore...and has even ended up on her dining table! This cutie does enjoy the company of other dogs and is a velcro pup. His dream home would either be with people who are around most of the time (or who can take him with them when they leave) or with doggy friends to keep him company. He prefers having people or pups to hang out with as opposed to being alone. Like most dogs that have been dumped by their people, Pierre will need continued help with training. But, for the person who is up for working with him, he's going to be an amazing little pup! We are recommending him to homes with kids over the age of 8.
