Meet Nike! My name is Nike, nickname 'Nikes', I am named after the goddess of victory being the top wrestler in my family! I am a petite blue eyed beauty. I also enjoy a good cuddle after my play time and give gentle nibbles. I am 8 weeks old and about 8lbs. I am an American Pit Bull Terrier. I came with my six siblings from Texas at 4 days old and have been in foster home together with a foster family who has 5 dogs from 10-110lbs who have helped teach me the ropes of being a dog. Nike is incredibly athletic enjoying spending her time playing with all of her dog friends. She was one of the 2 smallest puppies and fought hard to keep up as she grew, and has blossomed into a fearless independent. She seeks attention of her humans when she is ready to stop playing and will gladly curl up on your lap or ask to be carried. She loves wrestling, balls and turkey tendons. She is very food motivated and has learned sit and touch with vocal and hand commands. She does respond to her name and will come running to you for hugs or to be picked up ! Nike thrives with dog friends and loves to have someone to nap with or play with. Nike is the most into potty training outside and enjoys chasing leaves but is still getting it down, does wonderful with her potty pads! She has not yet been introduced to a crate but is calm and relaxed in her playpen. She does great with all humans even as young as 2 and has been bottle fed, so human touch is very important to her. One of her other favorite things is a fluffy bed or blanket to comfort her when she needs a mama dog, she might even try to nurse before a nap. Napping one of her favorite things and she knows how to get comfy, sleeping upside down, bottom of a puppy pile or on her foster mom. Nike has met cats at her grandma's house and was very curious and demonstrated her barking skills for them, she is also respectful of senior dogs. Her perfect family would continue her positive reinforcement training, love cuddles and puppy kisses, be active and have another dog or 2 for her to play with.
