[Read About Natural Cancer Care] Scooby has been in my family for the last 8 years. He was adopted as a rescue, he was dumped In water canyon NV. When he came to us he had a fear of all men. We worked closely with him for the next year and went through training classes and I am happy to say he is not afraid of men anymore. However he is bark reactive, and has always had anxiety issues and for the life of me I cannot keep him out of the litter box. Unfortunately I don't have a spare room to put the box, but I've done everything to conceal it from him and he still finds a way to get in it. Other than those issues, he is a loving and playful boy. I've always had cats and they've never bothered him. He loves kids, and attention from everyone. He's never really show interest in playing with other dogs at the dog parks, he just kinda does his own thing once the initial sniffing one another phase is over with. Scooby does have allergies that caused a massive histamine flare in his body and he does technically have cancer in the form of mast cell tumors. I have learned A LOT about this form of cancer over the last 2 years, and it is not curable but treatable. As long as his allergies are kept under control the histamine should stay neutral in his body not causing tumors to appear or grow at rapid rates. Dogs with this particular cancer can live full happy lives and for the most part not be affected by the tumors. I have found that taking a capsul of yunnan baiyo and sprinkling on a tumor that has ruptured and covering for a few days whilst letting it breath can heal the broken tumor completely. I have not had to use this method in about 8 months as his histamine has been under control and healthy. He does take 1 Apoquel once a day for his allergies. This is imperative! He must have this medication to keep him comfortable and so the tumors don't grow. I also give him 3 benedryl daily with the apoquel to keep his histamine levels exceptionally low (this was all directed from his vet) apoquel is about $91.00 per month for a prescription refill, so not bad financially for a pup with needing medication. He would honestly do better in a household that can provide whole nutritional food for him rather than bagged dog food. I unfortunately work 2 jobs and I do not have the time to make his special food anymore. He did best with ground beef, cooked fresh veggies and brown rice. Eating this way also helped his immune system respond to the histamine in his body and allergies from regular dog food. He is a wonderful dog and if my living situation were going to be getting any better in the foreseeable future, I'd keep him. But I don't see that and he deserves so much better. He's hung in with me the last 2 years while we apartment struggle and now I'm working 2 jobs and don't have the time nor space to properly care for him. He deserves walks and play days at the park. Treats and cuddles and all of the good things in life and my circumstances have taken me away from home all day just to pay bills. I need to do what's best for him and make sure the rest of his life is not lonely and he's happy and well taken care of. I would prefer his adopter come from Utah so we can schedule interviews and meet and greets in your home to see how he does in the environment. Thank you so muchfor reading.
