About Mama Gia

LOCATION: Etters, PA DOB: 01/02/2022 Hello! I'm Mama Gia, a sweet and goofy Great Dane who's ready to find my forever family! At 3 years old, my puppy-making days are behind me, and now I'm discovering all the things that make life wonderful. My fosters say I'm as Dane as they come-velcro, lovable, and a little silly. I'm a gentle soul who loves making friends. My younger foster sister and I became instant best buds, running, wrestling, and playing together all day long. My older foster brother can be a bit of a bully sometimes, but I handle it like a champ. We don't have cats, but I'm pretty sure I'd love chasing them. I'm also super curious about the chickens in our backyard-who knows what adventures we'd have if I got up close! A big yard or open space to run around would be a dream come true for me. I adore napping after a good play session and am currently spoiled with my own room and double bed. I spend 6-8 hours a day there when my fosters are away, and when they're home, I get to couch surf, play, and cuddle to my heart's content. Toys are my jam-stuffies, sticks, pillows, balls, you name it! I also love playing tug-of-war and catch. When I get excited, I might try to jump up, but I'm learning to keep my paws on the ground unless asked. Treats are my kryptonite, and I'll do just about anything for something yummy! I'm learning that I love healthy veggies too. My foster mom says I'm doing well on the leash, though I need to work on being less reactive to other dogs. When it comes to indoor manners, I'm potty trained and generally well-behaved. Sometimes I get tempted to counter surf, but I'm a good listener when redirected. I recently had a vet visit and was on my best behavior. I've come a long way since my days at the shelter, where I was surrendered with my puppies. My first foster family had little kids that made me nervous, so I'd prefer a home with older kids who respect my space. If it were up to me, I'd love to find a forever home with a big yard to zoomie in, a dog friend to play with, and a human who will be my companion and safety net. I'm a good mix of active and chill, sweet, curious, and always ready for a cuddle. If you have any questions about me, please ask my fosters-I'm still learning about myself too.
