Fraser is a 1 year old, 35lbs, dog friendly pup who needs a loving foster home, or better yet an adoptive forever family, to help him continue coming out if his shell. The shelter environment was too loud for him and his overly energetic kennel mate wasn't making it easier for him. Before we tagged him for our rescue, every report we have from the shelter about this cutie pie described him as 'hiding in the back, huddled and terrified, so unsure that he would flinch when touched but has never shown any signs of aggression' Fraser is now in Maryland, and is warming up in his temp foster home, but is still timid around new people. Fraser is quickly won over with treats and then he wants all the pets in the world. He absolutely adores other dogs and wants to play, he tries so hard to initiate play and seems to crave that kind of fun :) Once he trusts you, all he wants to do is lay by your side. He is a curious guy who loves bones and toys as he is learning to play. He is not comfortable going on walks yet and will pancake when a leash is put on him, so a fully fenced yard is a must for this shy guy. He is crate trained and will be neutered once he gains a few more pounds. To foster you must be within 30 miles maximum from zipcode 20906, and be able to bring your foster dog to our vet in Burtonsville or Silver Spring.
