About Axel

f you are interested in Axel, please respond with information about yourself(home, family, other pets, yard/fence, work hours). Although Axel is NOT with our rescue, we are helping his family find a great home for him. NO phone calls, please. What a gorgeous red head!! Axel is every bit lovable as he is adorable. He had initially came from a breeding situation that had to give him up due to their own family issues. Luckily he went to a loving rescue home that has cared for him in his time of need. He has lived with other dogs, kids and even cats. We are told Axel is very sweet and loving, and he give the very best hugs!! He is just two years old, and perhaps did not have a lot of training in his young life. So, he is now working to perfect his housebreaking skills. For the time being his family has him wearing a belly band to prevent marking in the house. He will get it, with a little patience and consistency Axel will understand. He will do well in a home that has previous dachshund experience. They are a wonderful breed, but like all purebreds, they can have their own unique issues and needs.
