About Bennett

BENNETT is a lover. He adores humans and playful dogs. He is 5 years old and 58 pounds. Everyone who meets him falls in love with his joyful, loving personality. He is fostered in Lake Oswego, Oregon and we will meet folks with screened applications partway if you live far away. Bennett is house trained, leash trained, and knows several training cues. He loves to run free, to cuddle and to play with toys, dogs and humans. He enjoys car rides. This handsome guy spent the first 5 years of his life chained to a tree. You would never know it now. He has just graduated from training camp, where he learned indoor manners and got his first chance to run free, play with another dog, walk in the woods, take a dip in a creek and wallow in a horse trough. He was in heaven. Bennett is active and given his past, we want for him to be able to run free and to enjoy activity and a cozy home. He is not vocal, nor an escapist as many of his breed can be. He is a super great dog who really deserves an opportunity to make up for all he's missed out on in his first 5 years. He has such potential! He will need to continue to learn the ways of a beloved pet. Bennett is neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, flea & tick treated and micro-chipped. He is on flea, tick and heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is 250. A great home for Bennett and his must haves include: 1. An owned home with a full size and securely fenced yard or a property where Bennett can run free. 2. Adopters who have rescue AND ideally, northern breed experience, or who have researched the breed well. Folks who understand the maintenance needs of a long haired husky. 3.
