About Cedar

This is Cedar who until recently was known as Fergus. He is 3 years-old and is a Border Collie, Australian Cattle dog mix. Until recently he lived happily with a family in Washington State. He was sent to the Whatcom Humane Society recently because of an incident of possible resource guarding behavior, he snapped at a child but did not bite and has never actually injured anyone. They described him as a 'a perfect dog 99% of the time'. I am a family member who lives remotely in southern California and as such the shelter will not permit me to adopt him, I did try. The family did not contact me or any rescue groups before placing him in kill shelter. I am very much hoping that someone in the area will find it in their hearts to rescue him.
