About Rio

Rio is a gentle, loving dog. She is good with strangers and will sit quietly for pets. When she visited a nursing home she was so gentle visiting the residents. When they called her over she gently put her head on their lap to be pet or rolled onto her back to show her belly for rubs. Rio enjoys the outside for adventures, hikes, and playing with other dogs. She would love an owner who also enjoys outdoor activities. She does need a little work on leash as she pulls. Rio is housetrained and is quiet in the home. If you invite her onto the sofa for cuddles she will indulge you. She sleeps quietly all night on her dog bed or is content to be in a crate if needed. She enjoys car rides and will sit quietly on the back seat. Rio can get a little excited and mouthy if she is playing tug with a human. She is very sweet meeting children and is gentle with them. Rio's ideal home would have a nice back yard for her to play in or a ranch. She is good offleash on acreage and comes when called. An owner who enjoys hiking, exploring, camping. Another friendly dog would be a plus, but she could also be an only dog if she had dog friends to play with. Rio is 2 years old and weighs 58lbs. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.
